Gulnaz Tabynbayeva

Gulnaz Tabynbayeva is civic activist and dedicated gender advocate with track record of implementing projects addressing gender-based violence. She joined Thick Descriptions in 2022 as Community Engagement Exchange Program Fellow sponsored by the United States Department of State. She is adept at community engagement through the establishment of the feminist initiative E.Quality, co-organization of Astana's inaugural 2023 rally against gender-based violence. Gulnaz has previously worked at the International Organization for Migration's (IOM) Immigration and Border Governance Unit, and at UN Women, contributing to the regional program Spotlight Initiative aimed at eliminating violence against women and girls.
